Child abuse is a community’s responsibility. A single agency does not have the training, manpower, resources, or legal mandate to intervene effectively in child abuse cases.

Our Training Programs

This course is designed to provide participants with the fundamental investigative techniques, knowledge, and understanding to respond effectively to the unique challenges encountered in family and caregiver-child abuse cases. Successful completion of the course will provide officers with the skills to develop and apply appropriate and professional investigative strategies to cases of child abuse. This training program is for Police Officers who are or will be working within the Family or Child Protection Unit.

Duration: 10 days
This course is designed to provide selected officers with knowledge and understanding of suitable questioning and interview styles appropriate for use with children, including the planning and preparation of joint interviews (police and other agencies). This training program is for Police Officers who are or will be working within the Family or Child Protection Unit.

Duration: 5 days
